My parents raised me to value education and always do my best. That’s why I find the opportunity to combine my dream of becoming a professional soccer player with an excellent academic education in the US very appealing. In Austria, this isn’t really possible…
I would also like to grow as a person and broaden my horizon. This is only possible if you constantly set yourself new challenges and step outside your comfort zone. “Going abroad” is exactly the kind of challenge that the person I would like to become would take on!
The final factor that motivates me to leave my home country is the idea of mastering a second language to native level. And then maybe a third and fourth…
I want to be able to look in the mirror at the end of my career and say, “I gave it my all.” What I mean by that is that I want to reach my full potential in every match, every training session, and every day!
My measurable goals are:
– To try and make it pro
– To play for my national team
– To play in the first division
I expect my time in the USA to help me surpass my current self – both athletically and personally. I want to reach my full potential as a soccer player, push myself to my limits in a new environment, and develop myself further every day. At the same time, I am looking forward to immersing myself in a new culture, making international friends, and discovering new perspectives.
I see this experience not only as a sporting challenge, but also as an opportunity to develop as a person, take on responsibility, and broaden my horizon—both on and off the pitch.
